MY TASK

In this game I had to remake a game-jam game I did half a year ago, the theme of the game-jam was samurai. Having learned a lot throughout the last half year I decided to make the game a VR experience. The main mechanic of the game I made was that you could slice through bullet that come flying towards you. Because this was a game jam I challenged myself to finish this game in one day, which I succeeded.

PROCESS

Before I started the project I knew that I wanted to make the game take place in a Dojo. After modeling that with a little bit of color and adding a sword to the scene it already started to look like a playable experience. The main mechanic was also easily implemented. The things that took the longest was making to scenery interesting was adding little things like VXF, sounds and lighting.

RESULT

The End result was a really simple but fun game where the player is in a dimly lit dojo. In one hand you have a sword and in the other you can see the amount of points and health. At the start of the game bullet come from the front, after a while they start coming from behind and eventually the sides as well. The amount of bullets increase as well, making the game increasingly hard to play.
